Nature Saskatchewan acknowledges the Treaties (2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10) signed between the Crown and the Indigenous peoples of Saskatchewan (the Cree, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, Assiniboine, Blackfoot, Dene nations), which create a foundation for sharing and protecting this territory. We also acknowledge the many Métis communities who identify Saskatchewan as their homeland and whose presence within it predates confederation. Nature Saskatchewan will work to continue to listen, reflect, learn and act in ways that foster respect for, improve inclusion, representation, tolerance, and opportunity for Indigenous peoples, people of color, LGBTQIA2S+ communities, and all genders, and persons of differing abilities.
