United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals

Nature Saskatchewan supports the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals by:

  • Quality Educational Programming (Goal 4) - Sharing knowledge through public events, school programming and in person visits, regardless of culture, gender, or economic background. We believe that everyone should have equal access to quality nature based education.

  • Sustainable Communities (Goal 11) - We encourage people to connect with and care for nature both close to home and further away, helping to create healthy communities.

  • Climate Action (Goal 13) - We promote nature based climate solutions, like conserving grasslands and wetlands that store carbon, while raising awareness about the changes we can make together.

  • Life on the Land (Goal 15) - Working to conserve grasslands, wetlands and species in Saskatchewan so future generations can enjoy a healthy and diverse natural world.

  • Partnerships for the Goals (Goal 17) - We work together with local groups, Indigenous communities, landowners and volunteers to make a larger impact.
