Volunteer Information & Opportunities

Nature Saskatchewan has many opportunities for you to become involved. In many cases, we are able to cover expenses. Whether you have a few hours, or several days to give we would love to have you volunteer with us. If you are interested in volunteering please fill out the volunteer application form.
            

 

Nature Saskatchewan has many opportunities for you to become involved. In many cases, we are able to cover expenses. Whether you have a few hours, or several days to give, please let the Nature Saskatchewan office know of your interest.

Administration

• Serve on the Board of Directors
• Assist with general office work, such as mail outs

Conservation

• Serve as an Important Bird Areas “caretaker”
• Serve as a steward of one of our nature sanctuaries
• Assist the Conservation Director in preparing position papers

Education

• Participate in our PlantWatch program as a community scientist, and track the blooming date of a selected plant(s) (April-June)
• Assist with events

Member Services

• Lead or help organize nature tours as part of our Meets
• Give talks about an area of natural history in which you have some knowledge
• Contribute writting to Blue Jay

Research

• Participate in wildlife monitoring programs, including Christmas Bird Counts (December) and Breeding Bird Surveys (June)
• Assist with our Stewards of Saskatchewan programs
